*Update: It has since been confirmed that the 18-year old student died at 5pm this evening following her collapse in the early hours of Saturday morning.

On The Twisted Pepper Facebook page, the nightclub has issued a statement saying that it is “deeply saddened and devastated” by the news, and management is currently helping Gardaí with their investigation.

An 18-year old Dublin college student is believed to be fighting for her life today after collapsing outside a Dublin nightclub last night.

According to The Irish Mirror, the student began feeling sick after taking ‘three dodgy ecstacy pills’ on a night out before collapsing outside the Twisted Pepper nightclub.

Emergency services were called, and found that the student had suffered a heart attack.

She was taken to a nearby hospital.

Friends told hospital staff that the 18-year old had taken PMMA, a cheaper alternative to Ecstacy.
A source, who did not wish to be identified, added:

“…She’s not doing well at the moment. Her family are holding a bedside vigil and they are waiting for her father to return from the States. Word is being spread to all the girls’ family and friends.

“To say they’re heartbroken is an understatement. They are all devastated.”

The girl is said to be in a critical condition.
