Carrie Fisher has died following a heart attack earlier this week.
The actress, who was 60 years old, suffered a heart attack on a flight a few days ago and was placed in intensive care.
Carrie, who is best known for her for playing Princess Leia in Star Wars, was flying from London to Los Angeles when she went into cardiac arrest.
After she had been taken to hospital, Fisher’s condition had been described as critical but stable, and she was moved from the ICU.
Simon Halls, a spokesperson for Fisher’s family released to People Magazine about her death:
“It is with a very deep sadness that Billie Lourd confirms that her beloved mother Carrie Fisher passed away at 8:55 this morning.
She was loved by the world and she will be missed profoundly. Our entire family thanks you for your thoughts and prayers.”
