Some of the people working on-site at the festival in Glendalough, County Wicklow, said they had been told by the organisers that the event was not going ahead.
Stages and infrastructure had even begun to be dismantled.
However, good news: a statement from the festival's PR has confirmed the festival will in fact go ahead.
Organisers took to social media to say they were 'absolutely ON next week – and raring to go.'
They further clarified: “Look, its unbelievably tough out there for independent festivals, venues, promoters, artists…. we all know that.
“Today we very nearly stumbled, ngl (not gonna lie). But the festival gods smiled upon us, and the fate of Beyond the Pale is secure for 2025 and for many years to come.
“Thanks for bearing with us today, thanks for all the messages and gestures of support, and see you at Glendalough next week!
“PS The forecast is hot and sunny," they added.
The popular festival will run from June 13-15, and is expected to draw huge crowds.
Beyond the Pale was named Best Small Festival at last year’s Irish Music Rights Organisation (IMRO) awards.
It was first launched in 2022 with under 5,000 attendees and has since doubled to 10,000 by 2024 with 15 different stages.
The lineup for this year's event includes Jon Hopkins, Roisin Murphy, TV on the Radio, Boney M and more.
Tickets are available now on the festival's website from €126.90.
