The official Love Island line-up was released a few days ago, and many Irish fans were disappointed to see heavily rumoured contestant, Charleen Murphy, left out of the line-up.
The rumour mill was awash with claims that the Irish influencer was set to take part in this year's show, but Charleen was not named in the official line-up yesterday.
The 'OG islanders' typically enter quarantine approximately 7 to 14 days before the launch episode to undergo the necessary health checks, finalise their wardrobes, and, of course, to ensure they are completely cut off from the outside world.
However, with the series set to air on June 1st and Charleen still actively posting on social media, it became increasingly unlikely she would be part of the OG lineup.
Now, we know what you’re thinking — this doesn’t rule out bombshells, who can enter the villa at any time, often after spending a few days in isolation.
The highly anticipated bombshells typically enter the Love Island villa just a day or two after the initial premiere and are continuously dropped in throughout the season to shake things up in the villa.
In addition, a wave of new bombshells arrives during the explosive Casa Amor twist halfway through the series.
This means that bombshells can be kept in isolation for anywhere from 1 to 3 weeks - yikes.
And because producers frequently decide to shift the order of the bombshells at the last minute, some contestants wait in isolation for nearly a month.
Based on previous seasons, the first bombshell to shake up the dynamic enters at the end of the premiere episode.
Then, a double bombshell arrival is often introduced around days three to five.
Production almost always introduces new bombshells right after a dumping or following a dramatic cliffhanger challenge.
So, to summarise, expected arrivals are scheduled for 7 June, 10 June, 14 June, and 17 June.
The biggest bombshell drop of the series is set for late June, when production introduces twelve new bombshells in the form of Casa Amor.
A final wave of two to four bombshells is expected in early July, acting as a lifeline for single Islanders who survived Casa Amor or as a last push to shake up established couples one final time.
It’s understood from her social media that Charleen is currently on a press trip to Italy with Primark, making it unlikely she will arrive within the first week.
However, hopes remain high that the Irish influencer could still appear at some point during the series.
