Get ready for your new holiday destination, as research from Holidu reveals that Cartagena in Spain is the sunniest city in Europe.
The Spanish city of Cartagena is a “historic port city” located in the southeast region of Murcia.
According to Holidu, it has an average of 283 hours of sun per month.
Cartagena is considered to be a “hidden gem”, as tourists would visit cities like Barcelona and Valencia more often, says Holidu.
This makes this historic city a perfect place for a peaceful holiday.
Holidu’s data shows the top five sunniest cities in Europe are located in Spain as well.
Furthermore, Holidu also looked at the warmest cities, the highest being Santa Cruz de Tenerife in Spain as well.
Its average temperature per month at 20.4°C.
