A floating hotel in Sweden is after opening and here’s why you should check in

After 16 months in the making, a hotel in a league of its own is opening up on the Lule River in northern Sweden. The Artic Baths hotel and spa features 12 rooms, six on the water and six on the land. During the year, depending on the weather the rooms either float or are frozen to the river, making it an experience like no other. The structure is also visually stunning, with one centre area for guests to subathe or jump into the water after recieving some spa treatments at the hotel's spa. The spa has one treatment room, four saunas, a hot bath, and an outdoor cold bath for all your beauty and pampering needs. Now that sounds right up our street. AnnKathrin Lundqvist, one of the designers of the hotel spoke about its unusual design saying:

"The Arctic Bath really is a first - it's a special spa experience. So much thought, engineering and ingenuity have come together to provide visitors with an experience they can't find anywhere else."

Now, if you want to check in you'll have to do it between February 2020 and February 2021 as that's the only time the hotel is accepting bookings for now. Rooms start from €900 a night and you can book online here.
