PICTURE: 3D National Geographic Advert Scares Commuters In Brazil

Too real

Alanna Alexander

Three dimensional art can be very convincing, but sometimes maybe they shouldn’t be.

Commuters traveling down the escalators in Brazil looked terrified on seeing the optical illusion, which looks as though the sharp-toothed beast is ready to launch itself out of the water.

One reddit user says exactly what we would have: ‘I’ll just take the stairs’

It’s part of a campaign for ‘Mundo Salvagem de Richard Rasmussen’ – translating to: ‘Ready for an adventure through the Brazilian forests? Wild world with Richard Rasmussen.’

Why would National Geographic do that?

Probably because it’s hilarious.
