A wildlife photographer, Hasib Wahab, was visiting the Noakhali area of Bangladesh, when he captured something truly incredible on camera.
The photographer was shooting when he managed to document the moment a courageous young boy risked his life to save a drowning fawn.
Caters News reports that the boy waded into the fast current of a surging, swollen river, and grabbed the deer, holding it above his head, as he battled to get out.
At times the boy himself was lost in the current of the river.
Wahab told Grind TV that onlookers were terrified for the boy’s safety, worrying that he may drown in the dramatic attempt.
“My friend was even ready to jump into the river to save the boy,” Wahab said.
“But he made it, and when he returned, we thanked the boy. There were only five to seven people observe this situation but it was a phenomenal sight.”
