Making your own juice recipe isn’t hard as long as you have a decent juicer and fresh fruit and vegetables.

This week…

Appleberry Lush which aims to reduce bloating, helps alleviate period blues and increase digestion. This juice is also great in aiding constipation, and has been known to alleviate acne.

Ingredients

1 medium (180g) apple

7 medium (430g) Carrots

145g strawberries

Method:

  1. Chop the ingredients into chunks, leaving the skin on. Put into blender or juicer.
  2. Add the basil, tearing it up in your hand and breaking down any stalks.
  3. Turn on blender and blitz. Add water if consistency is too thick for your taste.

Health Benefits:

Carrot juice is a natural diuretic, which helps eliminate excess fluids from the body, reducing bloating and water retention for women during their monthly cycle. The vegetable also cleanse the liver, and release more bile, aiding constipation and indigestion.

As well as adding a sweet kick, strawberries stimulate the release of serotonin in the body, meaning happier moods and increased levels of relaxation.
