The time of year your child is born may influence the type of name they're given and it seems to be the cast for those due in December.
According to the Central Statistics Office, Robyn was one of the most popular names for baby girls born in December 2022.
The name is of German origin and means 'bright fame'.
Other popular choices for baby girls born in December included Sadie, Grace, and Fiadh.
In joint fifth place were Mia, Lily, Hannah, and Sophia.
For baby boys, biblical and Irish names proved more popular than ever.
Noah was the most popular for baby boys born in Ireland in December.
This was followed by Jack, Rían, Oisín and James.
