A French woman is desperately searching for the Irish lad she met at the Euros

Cassie Delaney

This spells difficulté.

A French woman has reached out to Irish fans to try and  find an Irish man she met during the Euros.

The woman, who calls herself Rita, posted in the You Boys in Green forum is being very vague about her situation.

She begins ambiguously:

“I live in Lyon, France and I was hoping to have some help from the You Boys in Green supporters club in finding an Irish football fan called Cormac who I met here during the Euros this year.”

Describing their magical encounter Rita explains that they met late into the night, around 1am, the night Ireland played France, on the 27th of June.

Rita continues:

“We met while the crowd was singing “Don’t take me home, which they continued to sing for at least 10 minutes. He had lost his friends.”

While we don’t want to make any assumptions about what’s going on, we will say that it’s interesting that she remembers the date and time so specifically.

Rita describes that the issue at hand is an important one.

“I don’t have any more information other than his first name and where we met, but I’m trying to contact him about an important matter.”

We’re obviously DYING to know.

So if you think you know Cormac, or are indeed Cormac himself please get in touch with Rita via [email protected].

Then reach out to us and let us know the story.

Cheers.

And potentially congratulations.
