So when is the best time to nibble on something sweet?
Well despite thinking it might be better to eat before you head to the gym (so naturally you can sweat it out), leading nutrition expert Alan Aragon says you should actually be chewing on that chunk of chocolate after your gym session:
“That way, it stands a chance of being absorbed by your muscles instead of being stored as fat.
“Ideally, your indulgence should contain energy-boosting nutrients and enough calories (around 200) to keep you going.”
