We’re hosting live auditions in Whelans for the entire day on Monday, February 5. If you’ve got a great set of lungs or you have a talent for jamming it out on your favourite instrument, we want to see you! You probably heard already that you’re all invited to send in your online entries for the competition and now we’re adding LIVE auditions to the mix too! If you’re the type of performer that’s more into the bright lights and atmosphere that comes with performing live, well we want to give you the same chance too! To qualify for the auditions at Whelans on February 5, first please be sure you can make it, and send us in a cover of your favourite song, or whatever it is you’re showcasing, below! Remember this is for musicians, bands and singers. Once it’s music, we want to hear it! All five finalists will get to perform in front of a full house in Whelans on Wednesday, March 14, where our three judges - JOE’s Paddy McKenna, Barq’s Jess Kavanagh and singer Jack O’ Rourke - will be choosing the winner on the night! Four runners up will receive €250 and the overall winner of the Le Crunch Apple of My Eye Song Contest will nab a superb €1500 AND a spot at Indiependence!!
