Stars of The Gaiety Theatre’s Christmas pantomime Cinderella dropped into Temple Street Hospital yesterday to spread a bit of holiday magic.

Stephanie McKeon, who is playing the princess herself appeared in full costume along with her costars Prince Charming (David Glynn-Crowley) and the Fairy Godmother (Sharon Sexton).

The trio were given a warm welcome by children in the renal unit after wrapping up rehearsals at the theatre.

Five-year-old Laura Doyle from County Longford was especially excited to see Cinderella and her Prince.

Cinderella will debut in the Gaiety Theatre next Wednesday

Laura, who is pictured above, underwent a kidney transplant two weeks ago and her family is hoping she will be home in time for Santa’s visit.

Cinderella also met three-year-old Kayla Friel who may be spending the holiday in Temple Street.

According to The Irish Independent, her dad said: “We’re staying in the hospital at the minute, taking each day as it comes.”

The panto begins in the Gaiety on December 2.
