Good news!

The hit film adaption of Wicked is now available to stream at home.

Fans of the musical can buy or rent it through Amazon Prime Video, so you can watch it from the comfort of your own home.

Starring Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande as Elphaba and Glinda, the film can be purchased for €19.99 / £19.99 or you can rent it for 48 hours for €15.99 / £15.99.

The musical follows Elphaba, the future Wicked Witch of the West, and her friendship with her classmate Galinda, who becomes Glinda the Good.

The story of Wicked is set at Shiz University as well as Oz’s colourful capital, Emerald City and features songs “Popular”, “What Is This Feeling?” and “Dancing Through Life” to name a few.

It’s digital release comes less than two months after its theatrical release on 22 November, which saw longtime and new fans flock to cinemas to catch the much-anticipated adaption.

Despite its release on streaming platforms, the film is currently still being shown in cinemas, including a newly released sing-a-long edition.

Fans of the film can watch it on the big screen while singing along to the iconic tracks, including that note in “Defying Gravity”.

Following its release Wicked went on to break box office records, becoming the highest-grossing musical film adaption of all time.

It’s also received some major award nominations with four at the Golden Globes, including Best Picture, Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress for Erivo and Grande.

Plus, the film is also hotly tipped to be among the upcoming Oscar nominations, which will be announced on 17 January.

A sequel, Wicked: For Good, is set to be released on 21 November, that will follow the story of the second act of the stage musical.
