Tiger King season 2 is officially hitting our screens

It's not over yet.

It feels like a lifetime ago that we were all sat out our TV screens binging Tiger King on Netflix. While we may not want to be reminded of that time in our lives, we just know we'll be straight back and streaming every new episode that comes out. And we're in luck because season two of the hit series is set to hit our screen sooner than we expected as Netflix has confirmed there will be more from the documentary. This isn't the last we'll see of Joe Exotic and Carole Baskin rivalry, with many having assumed that the series was over for good after only one season. After Joe was arrested and imprisoned for trying to hire someone to kill Carole, it seemed like the end but Netflix has just confirmed that season two will be here before the year is out. "Tiger King is coming back this year — and Season 2 promises just as much mayhem and madness as Season 1!" they said on Netflix’s official Twitter account. But if you're hoping to see Carole back on our screens, you've another thing coming as she revealed earlier this year that she and her husband Howard Baskin have refused to get involved in any upcoming episodes after claims they had been betrayed by directors Eric Goode and Rebecca Chaiklin. Speaking to RadioTimes.com in February, Carole said: "It was just a few weeks ago that Rebecca Chaiklin had reached out asking if we could clear the air. "I have been speaking about how we had been so misled into thinking this was going to be the Blackfish for big cats and then it turned out to be the freak show that they produced. "So when she said she wanted to clear the air, I felt like, you know, that’s just absolutely ridiculous. It was so obvious that I had been betrayed by them. "Why would she ever think that I would be willing to speak to them again? And so I told her to just lose my number." And when it comes to Joe, he's been trying to get an early release from prison after he was sentenced to 22 years last year for plotting to kill someone on top of other charges. In July of this year, a judge affirmed his conviction but ordered him to be resentenced. Netflix is yet to confirm when exactly the show will air.
