However, Coronation Street's Jack P Shepherd has said that things will only get harder for David during this time because of the "journey" he will have to go on with his friends and family.
He told the Daily Mirror:
“I think for David, and for Shona, and for the rest of the family and the characters it’s going to get much harder before it gets better because of the journey that they’ve got ahead. “Usually he’s quite outspoken about what he thinks or he lashes out [and you know] what’s going on with David but with this storyline, particularly, it was all very internal.”
Shepherd went on to say that Gail and Audrey will also be involved in bringing Josh to justice - if all goes according to plan.
He said:
"Yes, hopefully now that he’s told his mum and his Gran and that Shona now knows… everybody that he tells, he just gets stronger. So hopefully Josh will be brought to justice."These scenes will air on Corrie this week.
