Strictly Come Dancing returned over the weekend

Strictly Come Dancing has been hit with major fix claims after the competition kicked off over the weekend.

Reality star Tasha Ghouri impressed both the judges and audiences with her incredible Cha Cha Cha to Espresso, but many viewers believe she shouldn’t be allowed to compete in the show.

Tasha has previous dance experience and has competed professionally, putting her at an unfair advantage.

Viewers expressed their outrage over Tasha being part of the competition.

One asked: “Why is an ex-professional dancer competing?”

“I mean yeah amazing. But isn’t she a dancer? It shouldn’t be allowed!” another wrote.

One added: “Disappointed to hear Tasha is professionally trained. I don’t want anyone with experience to win.”

Fans of the reality star were quick to defend her and stressed that she’s a professional street dancer, but not a ballroom dancer.

“Her dance background was street not this type of dancing and the girls deaf ffs. No one should be hating on Tasha she’s a fantastic young lady,” she said.

Another also said: “Dance experience, but so amazing and shouldn’t be disregarded for her talent.”

Tasha speaks out following her first Strictly performance

Tasha said her first Strictly Come Dancing performance was a pinch-me moment.

Writing on Instagram, the Love Island star praised her professional dancer partner Aljaž Škorjanec.

“Woke up feeling such joy, my first live show complete! I am still speechless, sure did feel emotional but was such a surreal feeling.

“What an honour to do it with you Aljaž Škorjanec. We went out there and danced like no one was watching, a core memory I’ll remember forever. Thank you for being a great teacher and just fabulous.. GET IN!”

Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday, September 28th.
