Staying in? RTÉ is showing the very steamy 50 Shades of Grey tonight

RTÉ2 is turning the sauce up a peg tonight by showing 50 Shades of Grey on TV at 9:30pm. 50 Shades of Grey was released back in 2015 and was the first film in its franchise based on the novels of the same name by E.L James. The novels proved to be highly controversial when they were first released. Based on erotica and BDSM, 50 Shades gathered a cult following from those dying to read the books and those doing it with one eye closed and under the sheets but regardless, the audience was and is there and since, they've released three films with the last one debuting in 2018. Now, although certain scenes aren't for the faint hearted or those in a room surrounded by their family (and the acting is quite dire) 50 Shades is still certainly one to watch if you're like me and need to see what all the fuss is about - good or bad. When college senior Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson) steps in for her sick roommate to interview businessman Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan), little does she realise the path her life will take. Christian, as enigmatic as he is rich and powerful, finds himself strangely drawn to Ana, and she to him. Though sexually inexperienced, Ana plunges headlong into an affair - and learns that Christian's true sexual proclivities push the boundaries of pain and pleasure.

Prepare to get hot under the collar. The sex scenes in this movie are certainly present and so, take this as your warning. The film stars Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan as stated above and so, EYE CANDY. 50 Shades of Grey airs on RTÉ2 tonight at 9:30pm.
