However, it seems that show bosses have another major storyline in store as a fire will devastate the Slater household later this year, leaving at least one character with life-threatening injuries.
The fire is deliberately started by a mystery resident so it looks as though the police will be launching a second investigation.
Scenes have already been filmed and they are due to air in September… we will definitely be tuning in!
