The I'm A Celebrity bosses have confirmed that the contestants will face a punishment after one star was found breaking a major rule of the show.
Ex-England footballer Alex Scott was called out by presenters Ant and Dec at the end of the episode on Sunday, as she was warned to “watch this space”.
Scott was caught with contraband, using small sachets of salt as she was preparing dinner. Other things classed as contraband include the likes of makeup, extra clothing and tea bags, which are all banned from the camp.
As I’m A Celebrity watchers will already be aware, contraband is not tolerated within the camp, and sneaking it in has always been met with consequences.
Scott was caught on camera pouring the salt over the food, as she was preparing crocodile feet alongside Jack Osbourne, adding that it would taste ‘like chicken’ if salt was added over it.
Fans of the show joked that “Alex not even tryna hide she has contraband is sending me, could of at least tried to hide in a bush or smth girl”, and that it’s contraband again in spite of the food seeming to look more quality than in the previous years.
And at the end of the episode, Ant asked Alex if that “was that a little bit of seasoning”, while Dec remarked that “I think it was contraband, what’s going to happen? Watch this space.”
According to LADbible, heads of the show confirmed that this will result in a punishment and that unless anything else isn’t acknowledged, there could be more.
An ITV spokesperson has said that the campmates in tonight’s show will be in for a “shocker” as they will be told there’s contraband and that they will lose a star won by Aitch in Bushtucker Trial.
The contestants will then be informed that there’s a contraband amnesty and they may as well surrender all contrabanded items without being punished for it.
