Rihanna has given the first glimpse of Ocean’s 8 and it looks to be absolutely deadly

Girl power!

This film looks sure to be an absolute banger.

The 00s version of Ocean’s Eleven with actors such as Matt Damon, George Clooney and Brad Pitt was an instant success… And with a star-studded, all-female cast of Ocean’s Eight, the latest film in the series looks to follow suit.

Ocean’s Eight, directed by Gary Ross, has actors such as Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter, Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson and Awkwafina starring in an all-female reboot of the film.

While there’s been much excitement and hype about the film for months due to its high-profile cast, no one in the industry or in the cast has shared information about the upcoming film – until now.

Unable to keep the secret in any longer, Rihanna took to Twitter to share a picture of the whole cast together.

The ladies, seemingly sitting on a subway and looking very sombre, may not be up too much in the photo but judging by their expressions, they are not to be messed with.

Rihanna confirmed the film would be out in Summer 2018 (which is still too far away in my opinion).

According to Radio Times, the plot of the new film will see the eight women get up to some major mischief in New York City.

The plot seems to revolve around Debbie Ocean, played by Sandra Bullock, attempting to pull off a serious heist at the annual Met Gala ball.

She goes about assembling the perfect group to assist her in her heist which entails the characters of Lou (played by Cate Blanchett); Nine Ball (played by Rihanna); Amita (played by Mindy Kaling); Constance (played by Awkwafina); Rose (played by Helena Bonham Carter); Daphne Kluger ( played by Anne Hathaway); and Tammy (played by Sarah Paulson)

The plot of Ocean’s Eleven saw eleven gangsters trying to carry out one of the biggest heists on a Las Vegas casino so we’re sure Ocean’s Eight will not disappoint.
