Matt Terry says Simon Cowell hasn’t talked to him since X Factor

The X Factor 2016 winner has spoken about his relationship with the music mogul...

Or rather, the lack of. X Factor viewers will know that from years of watching the reality show, things can look a little staged from time to time. Whether it's 'real' relationships blooming in the X Factor house, the rivalry between judges or the friendship between the mentoring judges and their acts... We can all agree it looks a little contrived on the competition. It seems we'd be right in thinking that things are all for show, especially in the case of X Factor's Matt Terry. The recent winner opened up to Reveal about the lack of interaction between the head judge and Matt.

"We haven’t spoken at all. He always said if I ever needed him, I could speak to him...

Matt, being the sound fella he is, made sure not to diss the guy who is en route to making him famous.

"He’s a lovely guy. He gave me this amazing opportunity so I’ll always be grateful to him."

Despite the lack of conversation between the pair, Matt said that he and former mentor Nicole Scherzinger regularly chat.

"We catch up every week. We’re going to go and grab some food as soon as she’s back. "I’ve got something that, as soon as she’s back in the UK, I’m going to give to her. "But I’m not going to tell you what it is, I don’t want to ruin the surprise. It’s something memorable."

Well thank Heavens for that. I was worried there for a minute Matty boy!
