Actress Kate Hudson is making her long-awaited return to the small screen in a new Netflix comedy.
The Bride Wars star will play the lead in Mindy Kaling's latest series Running Point.
The series follows Isla Gordon as she takes over as president of the Los Angeles Waves.
The official synopsis reads:
'When a scandal forces her brother to resign, Isla Gordon (Kate Hudson) is appointed president of the Los Angeles Waves, one of the most storied professional basketball franchises, and her family business.
'Ambitious and often overlooked, Isla will have to prove to her skeptical brothers, the board, and the larger sports community that she was the right choice for the job.'
The series also stars Brenda Song, Drew Tarver, Scott MacArthur, Fabrizio Guido, Toby Sandeman, Chet Hanks and Jay Ellis.
Max Greenfield and Justin Theroux will guest star in Running Point.
The Office star Mindy Kaling created the show and will produce alongside Ike Barinholtz, David Stassen, Jordan Rambis, Jeanie Buss, Linda Rambis, Howard Klein, and Kate Hudson.
Running Point is set to air on Netflix on February 27th, 2025.
