He’s coming back.
Josh Tucker is set to make a shock return to Coronation Street following the soap’s David Platt rape storyline.
The mechanic drugged and attacked David after a night out over a year ago, leading to the breakdown of several of his relationships, as well as the severe trauma he suffered as a result of the incident.
The plot came to a close when David confronted Josh in the hospital, finally giving the hairdresser closure after what had happened.
Now though, it appears as it Josh is set to make his return to the cobbles to make David’s life hell once again.
The Sun reports that actor Ryan Clayton will be reprising his role as Josh later on this year, a year and a half after the soap’s male rape storyline began.
Jack P Shepherd won the British Soap Award for best actor following the oftentimes controversial plot, which led to over 200 complaints to Britain’s TV regulator, Ofcom.
Soon after, things finally started to settle down for David – until he found himself mixed up in brother Nick Tilsley’s scheme to steal Audrey’s inheritance.
Now serving time for the plan that he wasn’t actually that heavily involved in, David is set to face even more problems when he leaves prison and is confronted with Josh again.
Guy really can’t catch a break.
