Iconic.
I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here starts in two days, and as we anticipate its much welcomed return to our screens, it seems there’s more to get excited for.
As the latest season of the show airs, ITV are set to do a special crossover episode with The Masked Singer.
Four stars from any of the past I’m a Celeb seasons over the last 20 years are set to compete as new characters on the music competition, with judges Jonathan Ross, Rita Ora, Davina McCall and Mo Gilligan attempting to figure out which campmate they are.
The four new masked singers include Witchetty Grub, Koala, Cockroach and Kangaroo.
Comedian Joel Dommett is set to host the crossover episode which will be airing on ITV at 7.30pm just before I’m A Celeb’s return on Sunday at 9pm.
ITV’s Katie Rawcliffe said: “What a perfect way to celebrate the return of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! than with a unique mash up of two hugely successful series.
“Viewers will get to enjoy all things Jungle with a wonderfully bonkers Masked Singer twist.
“With flamboyant costumes that pay homage to the iconic series as it returns to Australia, families will be able to play alongside our panel in TV’s favourite guessing game.”
In just a few days time, the ITV series will make its long-awaited return to the jungle in Australia, with celebrities including Mike Tindall, Boy George and Olivia Attwood all set to take part.
The new series of ‘I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here!’ will begin on Sunday November 6, with a bumper 105-minute episode.
The date is several weeks earlier than the show’s usual slot in mid-November. This is to avoid a clash with this winter’s World Cup, with only the series’ final week overlapping with ITV’s coverage of the tournament.
The series is returning to Australia for the first time since 2019 after two years in Wales because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
