Danny Cipriani has decided to pull out of ‘I’m a Celeb’ this year after his marriage ended.

The rugby player stepped down from the reality show after the end of his marriage to Victoria Rose.

Producers are said to be devastated by the news after Cipriani was described as one of the most exciting contestants the show has seen in some time.

Following their separation, Danny issued a statement on Instagram.

“Victoria and I sat together this weekend and agreed to separate after 4 years of marriage.

“Whilst we’ve had some wonderful times together, we’ve also recognised we’re on different journeys and whilst this is sad news, it’s also a new chapter for us both to pursue our own happiness.”

The sportsman added, “I only wish the best for Victoria and her children.”

An insider previously revealed to MailOnline that Danny could have made it to the final.

They said he would’ve been a huge hit with the viewers, as well as his campmates.

“There is also huge anticipation that he will reveal secrets from his showbiz lifestyle, he has been linked to many women over the years, and his scandals are well documented too so there will be lots for him to share.”

Danny may not be joining the series but fans can look forward to seeing ‘Made In Chelsea’ star Sam Thompson, Jamie Lynn Spears, and ‘This Morning’s’ Josie Gibson on the show this year.

‘I’m a Celeb’ returns on Sunday, November 19th at 9 pm.
