Higgins and the Reverend Richard Coles were both late additions to this year's I'm A Celeb lineup as they entered the jungle together, only to learn they'd have to stay in a separate spot called the 'junkyard'.

Though upon first appearance it seemed to be a bit of a dingy locale to live in, it was soon revealed that there were a bunch of built-in secret compartments including a bath and pull-out bed.

The pair were tasked with pulling the wool over the eyes of their campmates including a trick where they were pouring offal over Melvin Odoom but had to pretend they were going through the same ordeal.

Fans enjoyed the twist but in yesterday's episode Higgins surprised viewers as she revealed she was 34-years-old as she woke up to birthday celebrations.

However, many viewers were shocked by this new information.

One viewer said: "Would never have thought Maura was 34, she looks much younger. I thought she was like 27 at MOST."

A second said: "MAURA IS 34? I THOUGHT SHE WAS MY AGE".

Another thought she was 'about 22/23' which wouldn't really have been possible given she was a Love Island contestant in 2019.

The guesses were largely confined to the mid to late 20s with the majority disbelieving she was in her 30s.

Coles and Higgins have ground to make up in the popularity contest however, their antics are quickly winning over the audience.

Since she entered the jungle, Higgins regaled her campmates with tales of how she got revenge on an ex, saying she went through their phone and realised she didn't really know them.

She told her campmates that after waiting until he'd gone to the gym the next day, she got his toothbrush and filmed herself scrubbing the toilet, the same day he had a dentist appointment.
