‘Home and Away’ Actress Talks About Upcoming Cancer Storyline

In an upcoming storyline, Home and Away's Maddy Osborne will find out she is seriously ill. Those watching the series in Australia will know that Maddy thinks she is pregnant but doesn't know if the father is Josh Barrett or Oscar MacGuire. However, after Maddy has further tests at the hospital, it is revealed that the positive pregnancy test is the result of a mass on her ovary. The teenager is devastated by the cancer diagnosis and refuses to talk about the news but Nate, a doctor at the hospital, visits her to explain that she needs to begin treatment straight away. Nate says that the type of cancer Maddy has is quite aggressive and the shocked teen is left with some huge decisions to make. Maddy pictured with her ex-boyfriend Josh Barrett Kassandra Clementi who plays Maddy, said that her character can't come to terms with the fact she has cancer. In an interview with TV Week, Kassandra went on to say: "there is the issue of removing her ovary which could affect her later in life. "So, she has gone from thinking she is pregnant and about to have a family, to being told she may end up never having a family at all. "Both these things are a massive blow for her. The feeling is pretty indescribable. This could be the end for her".
