Exciting new changes are coming for the show!

In just a few days, Holly Willoughby will be back on the This Morning couch with a new co-host.

Willoughby has been spending the summer in Portugal with her family but will resume her role as head presenter on the mid-morning show on Monday (September 4th).

Today, hosts Rochelle Humes and Andi Peters confirmed the news that she would be back on the show next week. They also confirmed who would be her co-host in the wake of Phillip Schofield’s highly controversial departure from the show.

When she makes her return on Monday and Alison Hammond will join her in Schofield’s place.

This summer, a number of stars filled her spot, including Josie Gibson, Craig Doyle, Dermot OLeary, and Steve Jones.

For the last two weeks, Rochelle Humes and Andi Peters have been at the helm of the mid-morning chat show.

It is expected that from Monday to Thursday, Willoughby will lead the show with Alison Hammond, while Dermot O’Leary and Hammond will resume their usual Friday slot.

Schofield parted ways with This Morning in July after 20 years following his admission of an ‘unwise but not illegal’ affair with a younger male colleague.

It was reported last month that he was reportedly writing a tell-all memoir in hopes that it would help “draw a line under” what has happened to him this year.

I can’t wait to see what Holly and Alison’s teaming up does for the show!
