Here’s the line-up for the first virtual edition of The Graham Norton Show tonight

Conor Heneghan

The setting is a little different, but Graham Norton is back.

In these strange times, entertainment from familiar sources is something to be valued more than ever, and there is nobody who can be relied upon more to provide entertainment consistently on Friday nights than Graham Norton.

As had previously been flagged, the new series will start earlier, take on a different format and run for a shorter period of time than what we’re used to, changes made necessary by restrictions related to the Covid-19 pandemic.

In the first show in the new series, Norton will chat to singer Michael Bublé about having to cancel a tour and how he’s coping at home with the kids.

Martin Freeman and Daisy Haggard will discuss their roles in a new Sky comedy series called Breeders and Michael Sheen will chat about starring in Quiz, a new drama based on the biggest controversy in the history of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.

Singer Celeste will perform her new single from her own bedroom, while the infamous red chair will also still feature, from the comfort of the audience’s own homes.

The Graham Norton Show will go out on BBC One at 9pm and will be over in time for Ryan Tubridy’s return to The Late Late Show on RTÉ One at 9.35pm.
