Former EastEnders star Michelle Collins has stated that she hopes that her character will be resurrected from the dead.
Michelle’s character Cindy Beale died in prison in 1998 but she’s hoping that there will be a possibility to make a return as her character’s death happened off-screen.
Another character, Kathy Beale (Ian’s mother), made a surprise return to the soap during the show’s 30th anniversary celebrations, despite the fact that she was meant to have been killed in a road accident nine years ago.
“If Kathy Beale can go back, there’s no reason why Cindy can’t,” Michelle, who was most recently in Coronation Street, said to The Sun.
“It hasn’t stopped them writing supposedly dead characters back in the past so I’m sure they could make it work.
“Everyone seems to be coming back from the dead,” she added.
“It’s all anyone is talking about,” she continued when asked about Lucy Beale’s death. “I’d love to go back now. It’d be great for Lucy’s mum to make a shocking reappearance.”
