A couple who first met on RTÉ's First Dates Ireland back in 2021 have now announced that they have gotten engaged.
Ginine Power and Andrew Martin met on the show four years ago and have thanked the show for playing matchmaker.
The couple took to social media to share the happy news with a sweet video.
In a carousel on Instagram, Ginine shared the video of when the pair first met alongside a video of Andrew getting down on one knee and popping the question in Knocknarea.
Ginine captioned the post: "07/08/2021 'Do you want to see each other again?' 07/08/2025 'Will you marry me?'
"2 of the easiest yeses I’ve ever said.
"Thank you so much to @media_lrp for capturing the moment so perfectly for us."
She added: "Also huge thanks to our first dates producer @lauragreenetv_comedy. As Andrew said on the date 'whoever put us together knew what she was doing.'"
The comments were flooded with loving messages, one of them from comedian Laura Greene.
She wrote: "You’re both such dreamy people so thrilled I could put you together xx huge congrats."
Ginine and Andrew got on like a house on fire on their episode of First Dates Ireland.
Ginine is a Kildare native working in IT, whereas Andrew is from Mayo and is a member of the Garda.
What a couple!
