Former Love Island contestant, Faye Winter, has revealed what she thinks the All-Star series of Love Island needs to do to be a success.

The spin-off version of the popular reality show returns next month, with the cast of former islanders returning to find love yet to be announced.

Faye, who appeared in season seven of the hit show in 2021, has predicted that Love Island could be in danger if the upcoming series doesn’t feature a varied cast of former contestants.

“I’d like them to bring back bold characters, but not even that, characters from series before, series 1, series 2, maybe those that didn’t stay in there that long,” the social media personality told Digital Spy.

“You want to see how far they’ve come and if they’re a different person and even what they look like now.”

Faye added that she thinks it could be a letdown for viewers if the spin-off only recruits less prolific Islanders from the most recent seasons.

“I think the problem we’re going to have is if they decide to have a lot of Islanders from the more recent series, that didn’t do so well in their series, I think it’s going to die a death.”

“They’ve come out and then they’re going to go back in and try to act a different kind of way maybe to get more airtime. And this is when I can’t be arsed with it.

“I don’t know if I can be bothered with the whole thing, if they all go back in there and play a game – I’m just not about that life.”

Faye was a fan-favourite on season seven of Love Island for her fiery and outspoken personality, with many fans hoping to see her return to the villa.

She recently reignited hopes of a comeback to the show during an Instagram Q&A when she answered a question from a fan who asked “Any man on the scene yet?”

To this, the social media personality replied: “I said I wanted to focus on me for one year… 2nd of Januarys coming fast. Lock up your dads (might return to cougarville so maybe your sons)”

However, the reality TV star doesn’t see herself returning to the villa for a second chance at love anytime soon but told Digital Spy that Love Island will always hold ‘such a special place’ in her heart.

“I know I went in there for the right reasons last time and I just don’t want to get stung again.

“I’m 28, I would like to find somebody to enjoy life with at some point. I’m not in any rush for it, but I also don’t want to waste my time with any arseholes.”

During Faye’s time on the show, she found love with Teddy Soares.

The couple placed third overall in their series and continued to date for around 18 months before they split.

Love Island All-Stars begins in the New Year, with Maya Jama at the helm of presenting duties.
