America's Next Top Model was a huge part of pop culture in the early 2000s, and despite its flaws, the show was one of our favourite things to watch back in the day.
It was the drama, the glamour, the icon that is Tyra Banks, and just the craziness of it all that sucked us in and kept us hooked cycle after cycle. However, the show was riddled with flaws, incredibly outdated for its time, and has been called out on many occasions for how offensive it was.
Despite its controversies, the show maintained a cult following, especially among those who watched it during the pandemic. Many viewers will be eager to tune into Netflix's latest project, Reality Check: Inside America’s Next Top Model.

What was America's Next Top Model about?
Created by Tyra Banks and developed by Ken Mok and Kenya Barris, America’s Next Top Model ran for 24 seasons — or “cycles,” as they were called on the show — from 2003 to 2016.
Each cycle featured a new group of aspiring models from across the US who lived together, competed in challenges, and faced weekly eliminations.
The eventual winner was named “America’s Next Top Model” and awarded a spread in a fashion magazine, plus contracts with a major fashion brand and a modelling agency.
