Love Island viewers were pretty impressed with this year's final

After weeks of tuning in every evening, viewers said goodbye to this year's islanders in last night's exciting final.

Fans of the show were delighted to see Toni Laites and Cach Mercer crowned the winners.

The couple took home £50,000 in prize money after winning over the public's hearts.

Shakira Khan and Harry Cooksley placed in second, followed by Yasmin Pettet and Jamie Rhodes in third place.

Angel Swift and Ty Isherwood finished in fourth.

Love Island viewers couldn't help but comment on what a strong finale it was.

Many were in agreement that the right couple finally won the competition for the first time in years.

Viewers praised the British public for voting for the right couple in the Love Island finale.

One wrote, "The public got something right! King and queen."

"And Cach told Toni he loved her off camera, they didn’t need to share that to play the game," another wrote.

One added, "So pleased Toni and Cach won, she's been true to herself all the way through."

Before the end of the episode, presenter Maya Jama confirmed that Love Island UK will return in 2026.

She told the viewers, "We'll see you next year."
