Doctor Who star Jenna Coleman has reportedly quit the popular show.

According to reports, the popular actress will be taking up a role in a new ITV drama where she will play the role of Queen Victoria.

Jenna plays the Doctor’s companion Clara Oswald.

The 29-year-old, who has featured in Doctor Who since 2012, will star in the eight-period drama and is said to be really looking forward to the role.

“Jenna clinching the role has been a closely guarded secret,” a source told The Mirror.

“There’s a lot of excitement about the series.”
