The lockdown content we deserve.
Quarantine has been tough, lads.
Sure, we can meet up with our friends in groups of no more than four but you know who we can’t meet up with? Daniel O’Donnell.
The Donegal native has been busy hanging out in his gaff for the duration of the Covid-19 pandemic, and from next month, he’s going to be inviting us into it too.
Well, in virtual form, obviously.
Daniel sa Bhaile is a new at-home chat show from everybody’s favourite country singer.
Launching on TG4 in June, the show will be hosted by national treasure Daniel himself from his Donegal home, as he chats to fans and friends alike all about lockdown life.
Episode one sees Daniel chat with Moya Brennan as they discuss Clannad’s farewell tour and their cancelled plans.
Majella will also be popping in to the show each week. For the first episode she will join Daniel as they get their hips moving in an online Hula Hooping class.
Yes, really. You did read that correctly.
Daniel will also talk to an Irish couple who have had to postpone their wedding due to the Covid-19 pandemic and he will meet up virtually with his old friend Gloria Hunniford.
Truly wholesome content, you must agree.
Daniel sa Bhaile kicks off on Sunday at 6.40pm from June 7.
