Corrie’s Steve McDonald is set for a colossal shock soon and it’s going to be intense

Ah, Steve McDonald.

He's been through a lot. It seems like only yesterday that he was giving out to Tracy for something or another, being chased by some boy racers, and getting married for the sixth time. Some man with the ladies, in fairness to him. Soon though, Steve's going to have another run in with a lady except this time it's not going to be one he's going to marry - it's going to be one who might be his sister but also might not be. ... So yeah, technically by that logic he could actually end up marrying her, honestly who knows at this stage? Next week, Steve will meet Katie/Hannah, a woman who is claiming to be his baby sister who apparently died when she was just one day old. Baby Katie, now called Hannah, was apparently adopted by an Australian couple and grew up over there, which would seemingly make sense as to why she wasn't around the place for all these years. Kind of. This will come as Steve's dad Jim arrives back to the cobbles saying that Katie was actually switched at birth in the hospital and that the real Katie has been alive all of this time. Wouldn't be Coronation Street without a bit of back-from-the-dead action tbh, would it? Steve will be, understandably, fairly shook by the return and when himself and Tracy start to do a bit of research, they discover that 'Hannah' isn't actually who she says she is and that Jim and herself might just be trying to scam the hospital where actual Katie was born into paying out a serious amount of compensation. Decent enough plan, in fairness. Hannah will return 'from the dead' next week.
