Dublin cinema Omniplex Rathmines has said that it will be open only on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays during October.
The popular multiplex announced the closure dates to MyOmniPass members in a statement, explaining that they were due to extensive renovation works aimed at upgrading the movie house.
"We wanted to let you know that Omniplex Rathmines will be functioning at a reduced screen capacity over the coming months, as starting this week, we're upgrading Omniplex Rathmines to a whole new level of cinema," the email to subscribers reads.
"On your next visit, you'll notice a big difference in our foyer and customer flow. We have also started work on our new MAXX recline screens.
"These renovations will include closure dates in the month of October to allow for extensive renovation works as we continue to invest and enhance your cinema experience."
The multiplex also shared images of what its screens should look like after the upgrade.
Omniplex Rathmines also said that the cinema will open from Friday to Sunday only each week of next month.
Due to the foyer and interior works, the movie house will be closed:
Monday 6th to Thursday 9th
Monday 13th to Thursday 16th
Monday 20th to Thursday 23rd
The cinema also said that further closure dates could be announced.
"Future closure dates may be added; however, we will communicate all changes to the schedule and showtimes well in advance of these dates," Ominplex Rathmines explained.
"We're excited about what's ahead! Thank you for your patience and understanding. We can't wait to welcome you to a refreshed Omniplex Rathmines soon!"
High-profile films coming to cinemas throughout October include After the Hunt, Black Phone 2, Bugonia, Good Boy, Him, Regretting You, Roofman, Shelby Oaks, The Smashing Machine, Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere and Tron: Ares.
