Beverly Hills, 90210 is officially being rebooted…again

Beverly Hills, 90210 is officially getting the reboot treatment – again.

Tori Spelling, who starred in the original ’90s series, announced the news during an interview with Access Live on Friday.

Addressing recent paparazzi photos of herself with her former cast members out and about, she said:

“We were having coffee in between meetings with networks. It’s confirmed. We’re doing a new 90210.”

She said that the “OG crew is back together and we’re playing heightened versions of ourselves.”

She continued:

“The fans will be pleasantly surprised, though, because we will intercut that with scenes from the show. So it’ll be a whole ensemble cast playing a heightened version of themselves.”

She added that “almost everybody” will be back, with Luke Perry will “do as many episodes can do” due to his commitments to The CW’s Riverdale.

As for Shannen Doherty, who played Brenda Walsh, Spelling says the cast would “love to have her” – although there is “no status right now.”

The original series ran for 10 seasons between 1990 and 2000. It starred Tori Spelling, Jenni Garth, Jason Priestley, and Luke Perry as students at a posh West Beverly Hills High School.

The CW rebooted the series eight years later, under the name 90210. Spelling, Garth and Doherty all reprised their roles at points throughout its five season run.
