After one of the longest, tension filled storylines ever to reach Albert Square, Jane Beale has been revealed as Lucy Beale’s killer… or has she?
The murder plot has kept fans of the BBC soap in suspense over the past 10 months, while the show narrowed down suspects one by one.
With a tense live week, the finger pointing first landed on Abi Branning, although that was quickly shot down on Wednesday night.
Last night’s episode showed Peter chasing down the truth from ex-girlfriend Lauren, resulting in a showdown in the Beale household last night.
With just Jane, Ian and Cindy in the room, Peter accused a Beale of being the murderer… but it wasn’t until tonight’s episode that the full truth came to light.
Although earlier in the night Denise was cast into the spotlight as the new suspect, it wasn’t until the revelation that Kathy was back on the Square that everyone’s attention was diverted. She was eliminated by Ian Beale who revealed to Mick Carter that he now knew who the real killer was after piecing the parts of the murder mystery together.
Calling the killer, Ian told Jane to clear the house.
