Lovely Armageddon star Affleck was awarded an honorary doctorate degree this week from prestigious Brown University, and we don’t think we’ve ever seen anyone look quite so pleased with themselves to be holding that piece of paper. It warmed our hearts to see him looking so delighted. Bless!

Even if you’re one of the biggest popstars on the planet, you still need your mammy. One Direction cutie Zayn got the full support of his mother this week, when she joined Twitter just to tackle bullies who were leaving him nasty messages on the social networking site. Good woman!

 

Gordon Ramsay

A guilty pleasure to more than a few women, the craggy faced cranky-pants should be much cheerier soon with the news that he’s set to be spending a whole lot more time with David Beckham. The pair are planning to open a restaurant together, and really – who wouldn’t be thrilled to be around Becks every day?
