Taylor Swift was reduced to tears during her concert in Brazil

Taylor Swift paid tribute to a fan who passed away during one of her shows in Rio de Janeiro.

During her concert on Sunday night, the ‘All Too Well’ singer performed ‘Bigger Than The Whole Sky’ in honour of the 23-year-old fan who died.

Swift’s eyes filled with tears as she performed the song from her album ‘Midnights’.

She didn’t mention the late Ava Benevides during the performance, but fans believe it was performed in honour of her.

The 23-year-old student reportedly died from a heart attack after collapsing before the Eras Tour show in Brazil.

She was rushed to hospital but allegedly suffered another heart attack on the way there.

The 23-year-old was then pronounced dead by medical staff at the hospital.

Swift paid tribute to the young woman on Instagram after learning of her untimely passing.

“I can’t believe I’m writing these words, but it’s with a shattered heart that I say we lost a fan earlier tonight before my show,” she wrote.

“I can’t even tell you how devastated I am by this. There’s very little information I have other than the fact she was so incredibly beautiful and far too young.

“I’m not going to be able to speak about this from the stage because I feel overwhelmed by grief when I even try to talk about it.

“I want to say now I feel this loss deeply and my heart goes out to her family and friends.”

The singer added: “This is the last thing I ever thought would happen when we decided to bring this tour to Brazil.”
