Taylor Swift is due to perform in Wembley this week

Taylor Swift is expected to perform a string of sold-out shows in London this week, but the singer is currently in a security lockdown following the Vienna terror plot.

The singer has not yet released a statement following the incident, but is expected to bring the Eras Tour to London this week.

However, a source close to Swift said her and her team are in a security lockdown.

An insider told The Sun: “They’re all on lockdown but doing OK.

“Taylor’s security and of those around her has always been paramount, but even more so now,” they explained.

Taylor and her team were advised to “go to ground” after the incident in Vienna.

“She and her dancers were told to ‘go to ground for their own safety’ in light of the Vienna threat. That’s why nothing has been said about the cancelled shows beyond the promoter’s statement,” they added.

Security measures have been increased for Swift’s London shows, but fans have been advised not to gather outside Wembley stadium.

According to MailOnline, there are plans to use private counterterrorism security forces to protect both Swift and her fans in London.

All three Vienna shows were cancelled after a terror plot was foiled.

A 19-year-old suspect was planning to “kill himself and a large crowd at the concert either today or tomorrow”, according to Omar Haijawi-Pirchner, the head of the Directorate of State Security and Intelligence.

The teenager reportedly planned to carry out the heinous attack by using knives and explosives.

He had pledged allegiance to the Islamic State group.

Three others were also arrested following the planned attack.

Swift will reportedly perform at Wembley on August 15th, 16th, 17th, 19th and 20th.
