Jackass TV star Steve-O has been arrested after climbing a crane in a protest against SeaWorld.
The 41-year old mounted a crane in a construction site in Hollywood, and was 100ft in the air when emergency crews attempted to bring him down.
Carrying an inflatable whale with him to the top, the balloon read:
“SeaWorld Sucks”.
Steve-O, real name Stephen Glover, hinted his plans earlier in the day on Facebook, updating his status with the following post and picture:
“This is Shammy. We’re going to do a big dangerous stunt in Los Angeles tomorrow that will probably get me in a lot of trouble, and you can watch it happen via a live stream, right here on Facebook, starting at exactly 7pm PST. See you then… #yeahdude”
According to Sky News, Lieutenant Michael Ling said that emergency services were called when first responders were unsure whether Glover needed to be rescued.
It was confirmed that Steve O climbed down on his own and was then taken into custody.
