Star Couple End Marriage After 18 Years Together

Monica Bellucci and Vincent Cassel have decided to end their 14-year-marriage.

Speculation has been rife about the couple’s relationship for the last few months after the Matrix Reloaded beauty did an interview with Grazia.

She told the magazine: “Marriage, we never know how long it will last... Today, it works, but in a year, I don’t know.”

Her husband Cassel, who has had starring roles in French film La Haine (Hate) as well as Black Swan, also added fuel to the fire when he spoke to Closer.

He said: “My wife and me are very different animals. This is probably the key to our relationship after 18 years together... We don’t seek other people’s approval.”

A spokesperson for the actor has also confirmed the news of the split, said to be a ‘mutual agreement’, to AFP.

Bellucci and Cassel were together for three years before they tied the knot in 1999. They have two daughters, eight-year-old Deva and three-year-old Léonie.
