Joni Mitchell is expected to make a full recovery after reportedly suffering from an aneurysm that saw her hospitalised recently.

According to her friend and conservator Leslie Morris, the 71-year-old singer is recovering at home.

“Joni did in fact suffer an aneurysm,” she wrote. “However, details that have emerged in the past few days are mostly speculative.

“The truth is that Joni is speaking, and she’s speaking well,” she continued.

“She is not walking yet, but she will be in the near future as she is undergoing daily therapies.

“She is resting comfortably in her own home and she’s getting better each day. A full recovery is expected.”

Get well wishes have been pouring in for the country singer since the news was announced that she had been brought to hospital.

Joni is best known for the song Big Yellow Taxi. She was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of fame back in 1997.
