Sherlock Stars Report Online Death Threats to Police

Amanda Abbington and Martin Freeman had to contact police after being threatened online by an anonymous blogger. The Sherlock stars, who are a couple in real life, decided to notify the authorities after posts appeared online targeting them. Earlier this month she tweeted about the discovery and called out the person behind it. The actress tweeted about the ordeal (image: Twitter). The actress was sent a photograph of a baseball bat covered in barbed wire and the caption: “Shall we start prepping for a possible funeral?” There was another message which read: “Both Martin Freeman and Amanda Abbington are starting to give Benedict (Cumberbatch) and all his fans a bad name! They both seriously just need to shut up and f**king die already!” A source told The Sun that the couple, who have two children together, are “not prepared to put up with threats on their life.” Amanda, Martin and Benedict star in Sherlock (image: BBC).
