Ryan Gosling’s reaction to Critics Choice win goes viral

Ryan Gosling was baffled by his win last night

The Barbie cast reigned supreme at last night’s Critics Choice Awards.

America Ferrera was honoured with the SeeHer award for advocating for gender equality, portraying characters with authenticity, defying stereotypes and pushing boundaries.

Margot Robbie and Greta Gerwig graciously receieved the award for Best Comedy for Barbie.

And Ryan Goslig won Best Song for ‘I’m Just Ken’.

Yes, really.

The La La Land star beat Dua Lipa, Billie Eilish and Julia Michaels and it’s safe to say he was as surprised as viewers at home.

The odds of the Barbie cast winning Best Song were pretty high with ‘Dance the Night’ by Dua Lipa and ‘What Was I Made For?’ by Billie Eilish also being nominated.

However, it was the iconic ‘I’m Just Ken’ that scooped the Best Song award.

Gosling looked baffled when ‘I’m Just Ken’ was declared the winner.

Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt accepted the award but Gosling remained seated.

Addressing the Barbie actor, Ronson said: “Ryan Gosling, this is as much your award as ours.

“You made the audience fall in love with this song with your matchless performance, so thank you.”

He also took the time to praise award-winning director, Greta Gerwig.

Ronson said, “The fact that you carved out 11 minutes for this prog-rock, power-ballad, dream-ballet, shred fest so the boys could cry and hold hands a little too, we’re really forever in your debt for that.”

If anyone needs us we’ll be listening to the award-winning ‘I’m Just Ken’ for the rest of the day.
